35 years of recording and mastering experience. Former recording artist with SilverWave Records. Four national CD releases. Billboard and NRC top ten. Grammy nomination. Front of House engineer for A.C. Hilton. Currently bassist and music director for Las Vegas Entertainer of the year, Jimmy Hoppe.
Are you having trouble with your recordings or song demo tapes? I can help you in a lot of ways. As the owner of S.S.R. Recording, I have been in the recording and music production business for the past 35 years.
During that time, I’ve recorded hundreds of artists of all music genres. As a recording artist myself, I’ve co-produced four national released CD’s and received a Grammy nomination. So what can I do for you? Since the advent of home computer recording, getting your songs to sound professional without help, can be highly discouraging process. However, with the ears and tools of a professional, amateur sounding demos can be transformed into a more interesting and polished sound.
SSR Customer Testimonials
“Bob Fowler is one of the finest sound engineers around. They just don’t come any better. He has done some live recording for me, under less than ideal settings and produced phenomenal results. He even showed me how the most strategic placement of microphones could help me get the absolute best recorded sound from my Steinway Piano.
Bob has been involved in many projects but perhaps none more special than the “Street Life” CD to benefit Hanson House which helps people recover from addictions. Here he was responsible to engineer and produce a CD with 20 different singers, along with 20 different bands and various styles of music. I don’t know any other engineer that could meet that challenge and produce such extraordinary results. He is meticulous, perceptive, and professional. In short, he is a great engineer and a special person.”
– George Mesterhazy Grammy Nominated Musician
“Bob will probably be the last one to tell you, but one of his recent clients was a top finalist on American Idol. He engineered this person’s singing to get the best results from his talent. This person was then able to take these recordings to a voice coach and use them for greater improvement.”
– Mitchell Corson, Writer
“Who needs to travel to New York or Philadelphia when South Jersey has one of the finest studios anywhere! When I decided to start recording my 3rd CD, I needed to coordinate my work with a producer, engineer and mix down specialist. S.S.R.Recording located in Galloway Township, is owned by Bob Fowler. Bob is absolutely one of the best I’ve ever worked with. This man knows his craft! He’s taken my songs to the next level even surpassing my own expectations. The sound that comes out of his studio is just world class. It’s one thing to have the best gear, it’s another to know how to use it to it’s full potential. I’m now mixing the final songs of this CD called “Blue Skies” and couldn’t be happier. People that have heard the final mixes just say, “It Sounds Incredible”. That’s enough for me!”
– Howard Isaacson Saxophone recording artist
“Bob Fowler has created a comfortable and well-outfitted environment. With his unerring ear, intuitive sense, and craftsman-like approach to the art of recording, working at S.S.R. Recording is a pleasure.”
– Tom Adams keyboardist, vocalist and conductor Cybill Shepherd, Bette Midler, Mel Torme
“I have had the pleasure of working at S.S.R. Recording with Bob Fowler on several occasions. He has done an outstanding job as the producer of two CDs for our organization titled Street Life I and Street Life II, a Musical Collaboration to Benefit Hansen House. Bob’s talent as a musician/producer is extraordinary. He is truly a professional who dedicates his heart and soul to every note and every detail of a project. His knowledge and guidance in creating our CDs was inspirational.”
– Nina Soifer Executive Producer, Street Life I & II A Musical Collaboration to Benefit Hansen House, a drug & alcohol rehabilitation halfway house for men & women
