With nearly 70,000 acres of farmland, Cumberland County, New Jersey, is well known for the production of an abundance of fine quality fruits and vegetables. The beautiful vineyards and fruit orchards of Swansea Vineyards in Shiloh, NJ have already produced an award winning wine; this shows great promise for our future. At Swansea Vineyards, our wines are handcrafted in small batches with a focus on quality. Our desire is to create wines with excellent structure, flavors and complexity. We try to express the distinctive varietal characteristics of each type of grape in the vineyard. Because wine quality starts in the vineyard, it is clear that good viticulture practices are important. We make every effort to prune, canopy thin and cluster thin properly so that the grapes remaining at harvest are of the highest quality.
